It’s hard to believe but Summer Field Day is next week already. I’m looking forward to seeing our customers and talking about how we can help you get through this rough summer.

I hope you can plan on spending Tuesday July 27th at the OJ Noer Research Facility. Call a friend or colleague you think should attend, invite an assistant or bring your mechanic or manager. There’s something to learn for everyone from a wide variety of turf management topics.

Some of the topics include:

  1. Water Restrictions and Monitoring Soil Moisture
  2. Low Input Turf grasses for Wisconsin
  3. Fairy Ring Biology and Management Strategies
  4. Ant control on greens and fairways
  5. Pre-emergent crabgrass control

These are just to name a few. UW faculty will also present results from the 4 year Primo Maxx Research, summer fungicide trials, and an afternoon lawn care training session. Include a stop at the vendor area and utilize their knowledge and expertise to help with your questions with equipment or other turf related products.

So, free up your schedule and stop by the WTA Summer Field Day at the Noer and get the latest education to help you with your turf. Register online at http://www.wisconsinturfgrassassociation.org/FieldDayReg.htm
