Waupaca Sand & Solutions is proud to have provided materials to athletic fields at all levels of play...from little leagues, to the Big Leagues, and everything in between. Some recent projects include:
Green Bay Packers - Lambeau Field
In 2007, Waupaca Sand & Solutions assisted with the renovation of Lambeau Field. The existing field materials were removed and replaced with a custom-blended sand-based rootzone mix from Waupaca Sand & Solutions. In addition, the company set up a conveyor system inside the stadium to expedite removing the old turf from the field area.
Milwaukee Brewers - Miller Park
Waupaca Sand & Solutions provided precision-graded rootzone sand for renovation and resodding of the turf areas at Miller Park. Stringent quality control testing ensured that the sand was consistently-graded from the first ton installed in the field to the last. In the winter of 2008-2009, the outfield turf was stripped and new low-mow bluegrass was installed.
Rockford Riverhawks - Road Ranger Stadium
When building their new home, Road Ranger Stadium, the Rockford Riverhawks requested a custom-blended infield mix for their field. Waupaca Sand & Solutions created the desired mix of sand, silt and clay and blended in other additives for enhanced playability. For opening day, the Riverhawks had the playing surface they desired. In addition, the Riverhawks fielders are protected by Waupaca Sand & Soutions attractive Red Tread Granite Warning Track.
Chicago Fire - Toyota Park (Bridgeview, IL)
In 2006, Waupaca Sand & Solutions supplied the rootzone media to the City of Bridgeview for the construction of its new Major League Soccer and multi-use stadium. The precision-blend of sand and organic materials was mixed to the designer's specifications and installed as the turf's growing medium.
